About
Having not picked up a pencil or paintbrush since kindergarten, Erin’s artistic journey began unexpectedly in 2014, when a temporary move to the US led her to a weekend drawing workshop at a local art league. She arrived on a whim and left with a new obsession.
Since then, Erin has pursued extensive study in the US and Europe, deepening her understanding of contemporary realism and the human form.
Working primarily in oils and drawing media, she is fascinated by how shapes and passages of colour morph to create the illusion of reality, and how gesture and composition can imply narrative.
Her work is held in private collections across Australia, the US and the UK, and she teaches portraiture at the Canberra Art Workshop.
